Conversation Project: Homeless in the Land of Plenty

February 25, 2017 | 3:00 p.m. | Eugene Public Library

100 W. Tenth Ave., Eugene OR 97401

Home is one of the most intimate places we can know. It’s a place that provides for and shapes our expression of security, identity, and even play. But an estimated 100 million people around the world lack shelter altogether, and as many as one billion lack adequate permanent housing. In the US, families with children are the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population. How does homelessness affect the lives of all people within a community? What does it mean for there to be masses of people who are not adequately housed? Join storyteller Ryan Stroud to share your stories and learn about the experiences of others. Read more.
