Reading and Discussion Group: Working Class Literature

June 24, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. | Bold Coffee and Books

1755 SW Jefferson St, Portland OR 97205

Can reading about class struggle help us build a better world? On June 24, join us at 6:00 p.m. at Bold Coffee and Books in Portland for a facilitated discussion with Nicholas Hengen Fox, instructor at Portland Community College and recent contributor to the "Labor" issue of Oregon Humanities magazine. Together, we'll read short pieces by working-class writers and discuss them, exploring questions about exploitation, resistance, and solidarity along the way.

Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to grab a snack or drink, and the discussion will start at 6:00 p.m. No advance registration required. All are welcome!

When: Wednesday, June 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
